Fiserv, a global leader in fintech and payments processing, is seeking a Tech Lead for their Java Application Support team in Bangalore. In this production support specialist role, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day stability, availability, and optimal performance of mission-critical core banking and debit web application platforms. You will lead technical investigations, drive rapid incident response, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), manage production code deployments, and coordinate closely with cross-functional global teams to maintain continuous service delivery and meet strict corporate SLAs.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of professional IT experience with a strong background split between software development and production operations support.
  • Must have full lifecycle application support experience working inside a large financial services firm, with a heavy preference for Cards and Payments domain knowledge.
  • Solid hands-on scripting and programming capability using Java, JBoss, PowerShell, and database logic with PL/SQL and Oracle.
  • Proven practical knowledge and operational experience inside Microsoft Azure Cloud environments along with strong comfort navigating Unix/Linux CLI platforms.
  • Excellent diagnostics skills backed by experience utilizing production observability and log tracing frameworks like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Moogsoft.
  • Familiarity with change management protocols, standard ITIL processes, and service ticketing utilities like ServiceNow.
  • Strong willingness to adapt to a shift rotation containing overlapping hours with onshore teams, along with rotational weekend on-call support availability.
  • Background creating automation scripts/utilities, experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UIPath, and strong infrastructure disaster recovery (DR) validation exposure.
